Y&R Recap – Sept 12: Victor Confronts Audra, Victoria Likes Victor’s Plan Less Each Day, and Lily Thinks It’s Time to Make a Move on Billy

Jack knows she is upset about Kyle but hopes she’s not still blaming herself.
Diane claims she was really upset yesterday. It’s not his job to make her feel better about all she’s done.
Jack says he is her partner, and that’s what he’s for. He claims that beyond everything, she and Kyle love each other. There is always love and hope.
Diane loves the life they share, but it’s hard to feel the joy when Kyle believes her happiness came at his expense.
Crimson Lights
Kyle and Audra sit and discuss Glissade.
He believes her proposal is short-sighted.
Audra defends her viewpoint.
Kyle wants to make Glissade bigger, faster. He says they should look at companies they should target.
Audra claims there are already too many pieces to put together.
Claire enters and Kyle smiles. Audra notices their chemistry.
Audra excuses herself for a meeting with their investor.
Kyle didn’t know that was happening today.
Audra suggests he not read anything into it. She says she will fill him in on the details.
Kyle invites Claire to join him. He says Audra’s mood is about to get much worse after her meeting.
Claire sits and tells Kyle all about dropping Harrison off at school.
Kyle proposes they go for a walk.
Claire would like that very much.
Genoa City Athletic Club Dining Room
Chelsea tracks down Billy at the Athletic Club.
Billy shares that he fired Lily, and Chance quit, so everything is on him.
Chelsea knows he’s got a lot going on but wants to talk with him. She’s trying to give him his requested space but is finding it to be difficult.
Billy wonders what is so pressing.
Chelsea says Connor has noticed he’s not been around. She told him Billy is on a break. She notes that Billy is trying so hard not to hurt her after she hurt him so badly.
Billy tells her he doesn’t want to hold on long enough for the love he has for her to turn to bitterness.
Chelsea cries and suggests Billy can’t be a part of her life anymore.
Newman Enterprises
Lily visits Victor in his office. She has new information for Victor and insists that when he hears it, he will realize the time to move is now.
Victor asks if she has confirmed this information.
Lily has. She still has friends on the inside, and Chance has absolutely walked away from the company.
Victor wonders if it was Chance’s or Billy’s decision.
Lily says Chance feels the same way as she does and realizes someone must keep Billy in line. Chance chose to leave when Billy wouldn’t listen to reason.
Victor says Billy is incorrigible.
Lily insists the move Billy is about to make will cause irreparable harm to Chancellor and they must move soon. Billy keeps moving the timing around and without Chance there to stop him there’s no way to know.
Victor wants the name of the company that Abbott-Chancellor has acquired.
Lily reminds Victor she hasn’t told him because he hasn’t given her a firm answer about their partnership.
Victor tells Lily they have a deal.
Lily smiles and shares the name of the company with him. It’s Odyssey 7. She promises Victor he will not be sorry.
Victor claims he never is.
Victoria slowly enters the office and is surprised to see the pair meeting.
GCAC Dining Room
Billy hoped he could find a way to put his feelings and ego aside.
Chelsea realizes that because it was Adam she slept with, Billy is finding that impossible to do.
Billy claims Adam destroys everything he touches.
Chelsea says it’s not about Adam… She is the one who broke her commitment to Billy. She knows she hurt him and he may not ever heal from the wounds. She doesn’t want him to feel bad about that.
Billy says he’s got so much going on at work, and she has to focus on Connor. He promises that Chelsea putting her son first only made him love her more. He must let this go so she can be unburdened and there for Connor.
Chelsea grabs his hand and tells him she wants to hold the hand of the kindest man she’s ever known one last time.
Newman Enterprises
Victor informs Victoria that Lily is unhappy with how Billy is running Chancellor and has agreed to help take him out.
Victoria asks Lily if that’s right.
Lily says she feels a duty to Jill and Katherine not to allow Billy to ruin the company.
Victoria wonders if Lily truly believes Billy will do that and if it has anything to do with him firing her.
Lily believes he will destroy Chancellor and says her termination is not a factor. She’s not happy about it, but vengeance is not her thing.
Victoria knows Billy is sometimes impulsive and that is never good in business. She still has reservations about undermining him. She never would have agreed if not for the fact that…
Victor cuts her off before she says too much. He insists that Billy always undermines himself.
Victoria stares at her father as he speaks.
Lily understands Victoria’s conflict. She notes that she cares about Billy as well. She promises she is not doing this out of anger.
GCAC Dining Room
Chelsea worries about how Connor will react to finding out it’s over between her and Billy. Saying it out loud hits her hard.
Billy insists Connor is strong.
Chelsea says Connor has already tried to blame himself and his OCD for things that go wrong.
Newman Enterprises
Alone, Victoria and her father speak candidly. She says the more she sticks with his plan to take over Chancellor, the less she likes it. She senses he was less than forthcoming with Lily earlier.
Victor notes her concerns. He insists he and Nikki have a deep appreciation for Lily, both personally and professionally.
Victoria says that doesn’t answer her question, and she assumes she won’t get one.
Cole knocks and interrupts before Victor can respond. He offers to take Victoria to lunch.
Victoria agrees and tells her father they will discuss this later.
Victor says there’s no need because it’s all set.
Victoria says, “Fine,” and leaves to grab her purse from her office.
Victor wants to speak with Cole for a moment; he thought he made himself clear… He doesn’t like Cole associating with his daughter.
Cole feels like he’s sixteen again and about to get grilled by the father of the girl he wants to date.
Victor says he doesn’t trust him, and Cole continues to defy him.
Cole questions Victor if he really thinks he can order him to stay away from Victoria.
Victor insists he just did.
