When Amanda regained consciousness, her boyfriend rushed her to the emergency room. Once she arrived, the hospital decided to admit the 1000-lb Sisters star. Amanda spent three full days at the hospital. “I am finally home after a three-stay I the hospital,” wrote Amanda. “For now we wait for a diagnosis and treatment plan.” The 1000-lb Sisters star used the moment to encourage people to take care of their health by getting regular checkups.

Still, Amanda was determined, and in March 2023, she went in for a revision surgery with a different doctor. Though she initially lost weight, Amanda suffered a setback about a year later.
