Melissa O’Neil and Eric Winter, beloved for their roles as Lucy Chen and Tim Bradford on The Rookie, have stirred up excitement by sharing glimpses of a mysterious new filming location.

This week, the dynamic duo took fans along on a sun-soaked woodland adventure, sparking plenty of speculation about the future of ‘Chenford.’

Eric, 48, kicked things off with a selfie from set, captioning it, “Love when we explore new locations on @therookieabc. Can’t wait to see how this turns out!” Shortly after, Melissa, 36, followed up with a scenic video of their stunning surroundings, leaving fans buzzing in the comments.

One fan noted, “Looks like Tim and Lucy are stuck in peace and serenity… and finding ways to talk.” Another added, “So Eric AND Melissa are in the same location,

which means Tim and Lucy are!? We NEED a reconciliation!” Following the couple’s emotional breakup in Season 6, many are hoping this new setting may hint at rekindled romance. However, not everyone is convinced.

The show’s creators have been tight-lipped about what’s in store, but fans can’t help but wonder if Tim and Lucy will confront their feelings amidst this serene backdrop.

After their breakup, which shocked viewers, the pair now seems poised for a deeper exploration of their complicated relationship.

Eric Winter previously shared some insight into Tim’s future, explaining that viewers can expect him to return to his roots.

“Tim’s heading back to training rookies in the field, which is something fans have always loved about him. Metro Tim was cool, but I think people missed the tough, hands-on training officer.”

As for the breakup, Eric sees it as a pivotal moment. “When Alexi [Hawley] told me about the split, I thought it was an incredible opportunity to dig deeper into Tim’s character—why he’d make that decision and how it impacts Lucy. That breakup scene was anything but typical,” he reflected.
