After having skin removal surgery during 1000-lb Sisters season 6, Chris was eager to get back to his life. In addition to getting back to the business of being the family patriarch, he was eager to expand his career horizons. Losing weight gave Chris more energy than ever before, which made it possible for him to do more with his life. Chris weighed over 450 pounds when 1000-lb Sisters premiered in 2020. Inspired by his sisters, Amy and Tammy Slaton, Chris embarked on his weight-loss journey. Chris had bariatric surgery in 2022, and lost 150 pounds. He weighed 300 pounds at his last weigh-in. His doctor, Dr. Eric Smith posted an amazing before and after of Chris on Instagram in March. Chris usually keeps a low profile, so it was a big deal when the 1000-lb Sisters season 7 star announced his first convention appearance. Recently, The National Corvette Museum posted a flier to Instagram announcing Chris would appear at their March convention alongside his wife, Brittany. Chris and Brittany made their big appearance on March 29 and posted a clip to Instagram. With Chris having a new lease on life, the 1000-lb Sisters star could continue to expand his career as a TV star and influencer.
