It’s been over a year since season four of “9-1-1: Lone Star” ended. Now, season five premieres Monday, Sept. 22, at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. The network has confirmed this will be the last season of the hit medical drama starring Rob Lowe.
You can stream the season five premiere for free with trials from Fubo and DIRECTV Stream, or watch it live on Sling. It will be on Hulu starting Sept. 24, which you can watch with a free trial or through the Disney Bundle.
About the show:
This drama series follows members of Austin’s 126 Fire Department, led by Captain Owen Strand. He and his adult son, T.K., moved to Texas to help rebuild the firehouse which had experienced a tragedy of its own after a rescue call. Strand’s team of diverse and qualified first responders include widowed Paramedic Captain Tommy Vega; Judd Ryder, the sole survivor of Austin’s original 126 house; Marjan Marwani, an adrenaline junkie and devout Muslim; Paul Strickland, a transgender male firefighter with a knack for observation; and rookie firefighter Mateo Chavez.
Together, they try to balance the duties of saving people in tragic situations and solving the problems in their own lives.
In the season five premiere, “Both Sides, Now‚” crew 126 races into action when an armored truck and its guards are attacked by a group of masked men. Owen attends group therapy with Tommy to deal with his brother’s death, meanwhile Marjan and Paul each apply for the open lieutenant position.
