Emmerdale Ella Forster’s sick plan for Chas Dingle revealed tonight as exit ‘sealed’

Chas Dingle collapsed on Emmerdale yesterday evening – as Ella Forster’s sick plan is revealed. Ella has been blamed for what happened to Chas when she fell to the floor in shocking scenes yesterday.

The Dingle stalwart – played by Lucy Pargeter – was caught up in the limousine crash on Valentine’s Day, just as her partner Dr Liam Cavanagh planned a big proposal for her. Whilst she ended up seemingly ok, others were injured and sadly, three of the people in her limousine died, including Suzy, Amy and Leyla.

However, things have hardly been easy going for Chas since. In scenes set to air next week, Ella will continue to express her frustration at being accused of dragging Chas and being the one who causes her to collapse.

Chas will withdraw her statement over the incident, but Ella is still adamant she has nothing to do with what happened to Chas and that she isn’t going to go without a fight. Ella decides she needs to prove her innocence by trying to convince Liam that Chas had framed her and soon Liam bites, rooting through Chas’ cupboards, convinced she has a painkiller addiction.

Ella is adamant that Chas must have overdosed due to an addiction to painkillers, and Liam and Chas are both frustrated with Ella’s constant meddling in their relationship. Will Ella end up leaving the village or is she sticking around for good?

Actress Paula Lane recently teased that things are “about to spiral” on the soap. Taking to her stories amid the new scenes, she wrote: “@emmerdale Things are about to spiral … from tonight…”

Last year, we learned that Ella’s character had killed someone when she was younger. She killed her best friend in anger when she was just a young teenager, leaving her struggling to cope.

“Ella is so ashamed of her past and she knows that as soon as she reveals all she risks losing everything with Liam. Every time the truth has come out in the past, she has had to move on and start again, so it’s incredibly painful to share and know that there is no going back now. I guess she feels he deserves the truth, especially with everything he went through with Leanna,” she said at the time.

“It’s a heaviness she carries all the time in the back of her mind. Pretending to carry on as normal is a short-term fix, and behind closed doors the guilt is very real. Every birthday is a reminder of what happened and will never allow her to fully move on.”

Following the revelation, she split from Liam and the doctor ended up dating Chas. Things went a bit awry for the couple when Chas got her breast cancer diagnosis but they have gone from strength to strength since.
