Coronation Street star Luana Santos announces exit as Sabrina Adetiba

Coronation Street actor Luana Santos has announced that she has left the ITV soap.

The young star has been playing Max Turner’s love interest Sabrina Adetiba for just over a year and has been a big part of the Lauren Bolton/Joel Deering storyline that’s dominated Corrie for months.

In a post on her Instagram Stories, she revealed that she has wrapped up filming, and explained the reason for her departure.

“Last day with Corrie, thanks for everything,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself in a dressing room, and another with co-star Jack Carroll. “Drama school here I come.”

Digital Spy has reached out to ITV for any further information about Luana’s exit and Sabrina’s exit storyline.

Meanwhile, Beth Tinker actor Lisa George is leaving Corrie this summer, and her exit plot is currently underway, with corrupt cop Kit Green set to issue her a major threat next week.

Perhaps the biggest Corrie exit on the horizon is Gail Rodwell herself, played by Helen Worth.

The icon is leaving the soap after 50 years, though there has been a major shake-up with almost a month of filmed scenes scrapped, a last-minute actor replacement and some storyline changes.
