Emmerdale star declares they’re ‘not going to take anymore’ as drama reaches boiling point

Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has promised fans that Mandy Dingle is “not going to take any more” as drama with Ella Forster is set to escalate in upcoming episodes.

Lisa joined the ITV soap in 1995 before finally landing the role as a full-time job in 2019. Her character has had her fair share of drama while in the village, mostly at the hands off her on-again-off-again relationship with Paddy Kirk.

With Lisa’s 30th anniversary on Emmerdale coming up this year, Mandy Dingle has found herself tangled up in some intense storylines. From Vinny finding out that Mandy wasn’t his biological mother, to her swapping places with Liam last minute and narrowly avoiding the Valentine’s limo crash.

Now, Mandy will find herself caught right in the middle of Ella Forster’s desperate bid to prove her innocence to her ex Liam Cavanagh. Recently, Ella’s behaviour has started to concern the villagers after Chas blamed Ella for switching her medication.

Last week, Chas hit her head on the bar after collapsing while on her own in the Woolpack pub. Later, the hospital revealed that it was down to high levels of codeine in her system, leading to an overdose.

During Tuesday’s (25th March) hour long instalment, Ella was hellbent on proving her innocence as Chas continued to point the finger at her. Even as Chas retracted her original statement to keep the peace, Ella refused to leave the village.

Things escalated for Ella when Manpreet asked her to move out immediately after she betrayed her trust and told people that Manpreet uploads racy pictures of herself online.

In upcoming episodes, Emmerdale have confirmed that Ella becomes a woman obsessed with proving she has done nothing wrong – and even puts Liam’s life in danger.

When Liam and Chas struggle with the levels of harassment from Ella, the situation intensifies after a pub window is smashed, but they’re none the wiser that Ella is watching them from afar.

The next day, Ella confronts Mandy unannounced at home demanding to speak with Liam. When Mandy refuses, Ella takes her hostage with a knife, forcing Liam to come over. As she tries to convince him that she’s being framed, Liam decides to pretend he wants to get back with her and leave Chas.

Unfortunately, his life is swiftly put into peril as he hits his head and Ella is convinced that she’s killed her former lover – but will he live to tell the tale?

Taking to her Instagram, Lisa Riley posted the front cover of the TV Choice magazine that features Mandy, Ella and Liam. Alongside the snap, she wrote: “OH…….its all about to kick off in @emmerdale has Ella used up all her nine lives with Mandy???? Mandy has been her biggest ally, defending her, supporting her, but maybe this time…..Mandy is NOT going to take anymore. You will have to wait and see how all this unfolds”.
