BBC Casualty moved in schedule change as fans issued with last-minute update

Fans of the long-standing medical series should note a change in their viewing schedule as the latest episode will not air on its usual BBC One slot. Instead, an announcement on Casualty’s official Instagram account has alerted followers that the episode will be shown on BBC Two at 8.10pm due to the Olympics coverage taking precedence on BBC One.

Enthusiastic responses have been flooding in from fans who are keenly anticipating the next instalment, with many commenting “Can’t wait!”

The Radio Times has provided a synopsis for season 38, detailing that “During the season, Teddy seeks advice from Gethin, Max play a dangerous game as Donna’s sentencing looms, and Jodie goes in search of Max’s kidney donor as his health fails.”

Since its first episode in 1986, Casualty has become a fixture of Saturday evening television, eventually leading to the creation of its sister show, Holby City, in 1999.

Set predominantly in Wales, Casualty follows the lives of the staff and patients within the emergency department of the fictitious Holby City Hospital. The show has featured numerous well-known actors throughout its run, and the current cast includes Barney Walsh in the role of Nurse Cameron Mickelthwaite, reports the Mirror.

In forthcoming scenes, it has been disclosed that the BBC One soap will uncover and delve into the effects of the sexual abuse Nurse Cameron endured during his teenage years.
