Thankfully, she managed to escape and returned to Wishing Well, where she revealed to Charity and Cain that she had lied about a miscarriage and had actually had an abortion. Tom tried to paint her as unstable, claiming she had stopped taking her medication, and sadly, the Dingle family believed his story.

Despite Vinnie’s encouragement, Belle only admitted to verbal abuse, not the full extent of the physical and mental torment she had faced. A heated confrontation between Vinnie and Tom at the pub led to Tom revealing Belle’s abortion to everyone. Tom twisted the situation further, telling his Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Nicola that their marriage was over because Belle had been involved with Vinnie.

After Belle returned to Dale Head, Tom changed the locks but kept a key for himself. Belle discovered Tom had installed security cameras and started dismantling them. Tom watched her from a distance. In tonight’s episode, Tom confronted Belle in the garden, telling her he would always be in the village. Charity visited Belle, who was busy removing motion detectors, and suggested a trip to Scotland to see her niece Debbie and honor her late father, Zak. Despite her reservations, Belle agreed, seeing it as a chance to escape the Dingles’ constant watch.
