Emmerdale viewers believe they’ve uncovered the true identity of newcomer Gina. In Wednesday’s episode, available on ITV X, Joe Tate executed his dark plan to target Caleb Milligan.

Fans will recall that Joe is fighting chronic kidney disease and without a transplant, his outlook is bleak. After unsuccessfully trying to secure a kidney from his half-brother, Noah Dingle, he discovered through his private doctor, Dr Crowley, that Noah wasn’t a match.

As a result, Joe turned his attention to another relative, his uncle Caleb Milligan, who he found out was a match. In Wednesday’s episode, Joe recruited newcomer Gina to drug Caleb at the depot under the guise of being an interested client.

However, when the plan failed, Joe resorted to violence, instructing accomplice Shaun to stab Caleb and steal his car. Emmerdale fans took to Twitter, now X, to share their theories about Gina, with many suspecting a major DNA twist.

One viewer speculated: “I wonder is Gina, Really Jean Tate? #Emmerdale”, a theory that several others agreed with. Long-time soap fans will remember that Jean Tate is the daughter of Zoe Tate and Scott Windsor, born in 2003, reports Leeds Live.

Jean lived in the village until 2005, when she moved to New Zealand with Zoe and Joe. Could Gina actually be Jean, working alongside her cousin Joe?

In upcoming scenes this week, viewers will witness Joe’s sinister plan unfold as a gravely injured Caleb is quickly transported to a private surgery where Dr Crowley is waiting.

Dr Crowley is appalled by the circumstances, which are far from what he agreed to, and fears he may not be able to save Caleb due to the severity of the stabbing.

The situation escalates to a critical level with Caleb flat lining on the operating table while Dr. Crowley strives to save him and carry out the transplant. Later, Dr Crowley works tirelessly to resuscitate Caleb.

Simultaneously, Ross Barton and Charity Dingle are on a mission to locate Joe, but will they reach him in time?
