ITV Emmerdale tonight as village villain’s plan ‘derailed’ in ‘mad’ plot

ITV Emmerdale village villain Joe Tate is ready to strike and go through with the plans of stealing a kidney from Caleb – but will he succeed as many grow suspicious of his actions?

On tonight’s Emmerdale, which is available to watch on ITV X now, Joe’s every move is being watched by Ross, head of security at Home Farm, who is reporting back to both Kim and Charity.

Little does Ross know that he derails Joe’s plans with his private physician Dr Crowley – especially as he interrupts a meeting in a car between the two. Now, Dr Crowley refuses to do a kidney transplant unless Ross is out of the way – leading Joe to hire a hitman to target Ross’ brother Pete.

Just as Ross reports back to Charity about Joe’s meeting in the car, he receives a call to say that Pete is in hospital – so he leaves the village to see him.

Now Joe thinks his plan is back on track but is proven wrong when Dr Crowley then tells him that he is worried they will be found out and now wants £50,000 as ‘insurance’. Joe refuses his request but is desperate, so he agrees and tells the doctor that he wants the operation done the very next day.

Elsewhere in the village, Ella is still protesting her innocence and is refusing to live the village as Chas dropped the charges against her. Once again, Ella goes to Liam to tell him that she thinks Chas is addicted to painkillers and that is why she overdosed.

Despite being laughed at, Ella tells Liam to look for the signs. Liam later questions Chas after he found her rooting around the cupboards while he reveals what Ella said.

Manpreet even turns against to Ella as she tells her to move out as she sounds delusional about her theory surrounding Chas.

Later in the café, Manpreet asks if Ella has found somewhere to live yet – which turns into a shouting match – and reveals Manpreet’s secret about the photos online. Charles overhears but Manpreet covers it by telling them that she is crazy.

A few fans caught up with the “mad” plot in the early bird version of the ITV soap. Jeffers wrote on X: “As for Joe and his story this isn’t gonna end well.” Adding: “Jai can also do one as well he really annoyed me in tonight’s episode.”
