The actor, who has now starred in the ABC drama for over six years, is currently believed to be single. The Canadian-American actor has never been married, but he has been linked to a number of co-stars and other actors over the years and has even been engaged three times.

For now however, Nathan appears content with the company of his close friends as he continues to go from success to success within the acting industry.

While he likes to keep his relationships out of the spotlight, Nathan has opened up about his love life in the past. Speaking to Women’s Health in 2010, the actor explained what initially draws his attention to the opposite sex. “I’m comfortable only when there’s a mutual attraction. That’s what anyone wants,” he admitted. “If I find out she’s not attracted to me, it brings down my level of attraction to her. If I’m interested and find out she’s not, I tend to cool off.”

While he hasn’t yet tied the knot, Nathan isn’t afraid to commit. “If you’re with someone and you’re afraid of committing to her, then you shouldn’t do it,” he said. “Men who propose…those guys aren’t afraid. They’ve just found the right woman.”
