Justin Hartley’s on-screen siblings Jensen Ackles and Melissa Roxburgh are returning to CBS’ hit series Tracker, which begins filming season 2 in Vancouver on Tuesday.

Tracker follows Colter Shaw (Justin Hartley), a lone survivor who roams the country in search of a bounty, using his expert tracking skills to help citizens and law enforcement solve all sorts of mysteries while struggling with his own broken family.

Colter reconnected with his brother Russell, a former military contractor played by Supernatural and The Boys star Jensen Ackles, in the penultimate episode of season one. For 20 years, Colter believed Russell was responsible for their father’s death, but Russell convinced him that someone else was responsible. Russell: “I don’t know if he fell or if someone else pushed him, but I know that there was someone else in that forest that night. Dad had an enemy…. He was a crazy asshole.”

Season 1 ended with Colter discovering that his college sister Dory, played by Manifest’s Melissa Roxburgh, had been hiding information about their father’s death.

Both will return in season 2: Jensen Ackles for more than one episode and Melissa Roxburgh for at least one.

“We’ve got him. {Jensen Ackles} is coming back. We’re having a lot of fun with that. It’s a great story,” Justin Hartley revealed at the Television Critics Association summer press tour today.

“We’re going to be revealing some more information with his sister [Melissa Roxburgh],” showrunner Elwood Reid said at the press tour.

Added: Jensen Ackles and Melissa Roxburgh will “come in and out of the show. If we can drop a few bombs into Colter’s life with those characters and then see how he struggles with them, then we’ll have them come back,” Reid told TV Insider.

Added: “The evidence we have in the show right now is that his sister definitely has a point of view about what he should do, which is forget about it and leave it at that. And then you look at Jensen’s character Russell; he seems to have put it all in a box in a way and just deal with it. But you’ll know in Episode 2, he has very different memories of something that happened in their past that Colter doesn’t remember at all,” Reid told TV Insider.
