EastEnders star Vicki Michelle has been seen for the first time since she broke her shoulder and was rushed to hospital.

The actress, 73, who played Jo Cotton on the soap opera, was taken to hospital on Sunday after suffering a serious fall.

Vicki was spotted out in Essex with her husband Graham Fowler, sporting an arm sling to support her broken shoulder.

She looked glum as her husband opened the car door to let her out after the painful ordeal.

In the new pictures, Vicki was seen wearing a white crochet sheer blazer with a black floral summer dress.

The star posted a picture of herself recuperating in hospital after discovering she had suffered a broken shoulder during her ‘painful’ accident.

But the actress seemed all smiles as she posed with a sling around her arm, pointing at her broken shoulder.

Underneath the picture she wrote: ‘So sorry everyone No Vix Mix Sunday this week. I’ve had a nasty fall and broken my shoulder.

‘Ouch. Bloody painful. Me at hospital. Hopefully be with you next week. Missing you already.’

Vicki’s followers and celeb pals were quick to send their well wishes in the comments.

Fellow soap star and former Emmerdale actress Linda Lusardi wrote: ‘Oh god. Wishing you well. Look after yourself darling.’

Veteran TV presenter Anthea Turner penned: ”Awwwww speedy recovery.’

Another well wisher added: ‘ Sorry to hear that Vicki. Please do look after yourself. Hope you’re all healed up and feeling better very soon.’

The former ‘Allo ‘Allo! actress made her explosive debut as Brian Conley’s onscreen wife in the long running soap last year.

In a MailOnline exclusive first look, Michelle made her shock debut with an exciting plot twist last April.

With divorce paper taunts and a message from ‘his boy’ Jasper, the new soap character injected an extra dose of drama into the show.

Rocky Cotton (played by Brian, 61) was shocked when his estranged wife Jo made an unwelcome return to Albert Square.

Vicki, who is best known for her role as Yvette Carte-Blanche in BBC series ‘Allo! ‘Allo!, was pictured in Albert Square for the first time, when she joined the cast of EastEnders back in February.
