10 Molly Hopkins and Luis Mendez
Season 5

Molly Hopkins and Luis Mendez were one of those couples on the show who are unpleasant to watch right from the start. The two met in the Dominican Republic and got engaged after knowing each other for just two months. If that wasn’t a sign that their relationship wasn’t going to last, I don’t know what was. Their time on the show was riddled with bitterness, constant clashes, and petty behavior. And you’d imagine that two people who hate each other so much would be happy splitting up, but their breakup was even more dramatic!
In an interview with InTouch, Mendez talked about getting married soon after his divorce from Hopkins and claimed that he just wanted to be happy. Now, that would have been completely fine if he hadn’t brought Hopkins into the conversation. After revealing that he wanted to know nothing about her life, Mendez claimed that if his ex-wife wanted to congratulate him for moving on, he wouldn’t mind it. This forced Hopkins to go live on her Instagram and call Mendez out for using her to get a visa to the U.S. She added that his new wife looked older than her and expressed how hurt she was at his betrayal. So, it’s safe to say that these two definitely aren’t on the best of terms. But when have they ever been?
9 Jasmine Pineda and Gino Palazzolo
’90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days’ – Season 5
Pineda’s verbal jabs at Palazzolo were a constant part of their relationship, and to make things worse, she put him on blast in front of the whole world for his intimacy issues. Palazzolo would never draw the line at berating her husband, and, for some reason, he kept going along with all her demands and took the mistreatment. When the show wasn’t enough, Palazzolo would also take to social media to insult her husband’s appearance and make it clear that she wasn’t attracted to him.
The last straw came when it was confirmed that Pineda cheated on Palazzolo and got pregnant with another man’s baby. This resulted in a constant cycle of social media posts from the estranged couple where they continue to throw shade at each other for being bad partners. But the truth is that both of them are better off without each other.
8 Darcey Silva and Tom Brooks
Season 3

To make things worse, Brooks told Silva that he saw her more as a sister than a romantic partner, and obviously, that completely crushed her. Even those who didn’t like Silva have to admit that Brooks was downright nasty to her during their last conversation, especially when he rudely asked her if she had gained weight. After their breakup, both of them took to social media to share their sides of the story. Brooks implied that Silva was emotionally needy and was always bringing up her ex, Jesse Meester. Silva, on the other hand, expressed that she regretted letting Silva use her for his five seconds of fame.
7 Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou
Season 4

Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou first met during 90 Day Fiancé Season 4 when the Florida native flew out to Morocco to meet her online boyfriend for the first time. The two were engaged by the end of Nafziger’s trip and went on to star in 90 Day Fiancé Season 5 along with 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Seasons 3 and 4. But early on in their relationship, it was evident that these two were not each other’s perfect match. The fact that they postponed their wedding not once, but twice goes to show that the issues in their relationship were pretty much unresolvable.
6 Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno
Season 4
All my sympathies go out to Chantel Everett because no one deserves to deal with a partner as selfish as Pedro Jimeno. The two met online after a friend introduced them before Everett flew to the Dominican Republic to see Jimeno in person. It was love at first sight for Everett, who made Jimeno the center of her universe. Now, while she believed that Jimeno reciprocated her feelings, Everett’s family wasn’t too sure of his intentions. And they weren’t wrong because as soon as Jimeno arrived in the U.S., he turned into a completely different person.
5 Angela Deem and Michael Illesanmi
’90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days’ – Season 2
Angela Deem is the textbook definition of a narcissist, and every time she was on-screen, she made me want to rip my hair out. To start things off, she was 22 years older than Michaell Illesanmi, which obviously established a power dynamic between them. And Angela abused that to no end. She was extremely controlling of Illesanmi and forbade him from being on social media because she was afraid that he would cheat on her. But well, she wasn’t wrong about the cheating part. Angela’s verbal abuse and Michael’s multiple instances of infidelity pushed their marriage to the brink. The couple’s split in 2024 was inevitable, but their feud didn’t stop there.
4 Statler Riley and Dempsey Wilkinson
’90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’ – Season 6

Statler Riley and Dempsey Wilkinson met on a dating app before Riley flew to the UK to meet her love interest in person. The only problem was that she didn’t tell Wilkinson that she was planning on moving there to be with her. Obviously, this led to some tension, especially since Wilkinson felt completely blindsided by the decision. On several occasions in the show, Riley accused Wilkinson of being insensitive and unsupportive of her struggles with ADHD and autism. Not to mention that Wilkinson’s unemployment was also the root cause of a lot of the couple’s arguments.
On the other hand, Wilkinson would always complain about her girlfriend’s negative energy, and their relationship was put to the test when they took a vacation to Europe together. For some reason, the couple was always dealing with clashing expectations and was never on the same page about anything. All of this makes you wonder why they were together in the first place. And maybe they felt the same way because the former couple called it quits in June 2024 when Riley accused Wilkinson of cheating on her.
3 Kimberly Rochelle and TJ Goswami
’90 Day Fiance: The Other Way’ – Season 1

Kimberly Rochelle and TJ Goswami met in a spiritual group on social media before Rochelle decided to relocate to India to be with the man she loved. However, she had no idea how hard it would be to navigate their cultural differences. On top of that, Goswami might have been one of the worst men to have been featured on the show because he practically forced Rochelle to embrace his family’s patriarchal norms that she was clearly not comfortable with. As Rochelle struggled with homesickness and depression, Goswami became increasingly emotionally available.
2 Jihoon Lee and Deavan Clegg
’90 Day Fiance: The Other Way’ – Season 1

The biggest problem in Jihoon Lee and Deavan Clegg’s relationship was that Lee refused to take any kind of responsibility. Obviously, they got off to a rocky start with their first sexual encounter, leading to Clegg getting pregnant. The couple barely knew each other when they started thinking about raising a kid together. Poor Clegg was trying so hard to make things work that she even moved to South Korea because she believed Lee was settled there. However, when she found out that his job wasn’t enough to support him, let alone their whole family, things got messy between these two.
1 Danielle Mullins and Mohamed Jbali
Season 2

Danielle Mullins and Mohamed Jbali have been one of the most controversial couples in 90 Day Fiancé history. For starters, the two met in a chatroom, which doesn’t exactly make for a romantic meet-cute. But it gets worse, because Mullins was 17 years older than Jbali and was a mother to four kids. Despite their age and cultural differences, the former couple somehow hit it off and got engaged in a few months. Jbali moved to the U.S. on a K-1 visa to begin his life with Mullins. But it was evident that these two couldn’t make it work even if they had a gun to their heads.
After the two of them separated, Jbali threatened to have her partner deported and went to extreme lengths to find out where he was living. She continued to harass him for months on end and even went as far as to scream and yell outside his house in the middle of the night. All in all, these two were a match made in hell, and their drama went on long after their separation.
